1978: Nick Gilder releases what would become his biggest solo single, “Hot Child In The City.”
1978: Teenage Head is in Toronto for a show at Thundersound. It’s taped for a radio simulcast.
1980: Saga opens for Styx at the Hammersmith Odeon in London, England.
1983: Minutes From Downtown release the single, “Wrapped In Velvet.”
1987: Helix releases their WILD IN THE STREETS album.
1993: Tragically Hip release the video documentary, HEKSENKETEL.
1994: Gaye Delorme is in St Catharines, Ontario for the second of a two-night stand at The Hideaway.
2002: Nickelback re-releases their 1996 debut album, CURB.
2005: Bryan Adams‘ boxset, CHRONICLES, containing YOU WANT IT YOU GOT IT, CUTS LIKE A KNIFE and RECKLESS is released Stateside.

2016: Early French star Pierre Lalonde dies at the age of 75 from complications from Parkinson’s Disease.
2017: In Yellowknife, NWT, Leela Gilday, Casey Koyczan, Stephen Kakfwi, and Pat Braden are among the artists taking to the stage for the reconciliation project, “Gho-Bah” – Dene for “the first light of dawn.”
2017: A Randy Bachman and 54-40 concert at Artpark Mainstage Theater in the Village of Lewiston, NY is evacuated prior to the show, after a bomb-sniffing dog detects bomb-making ingredients on the grounds.
2019: The Watchmen and Matthew Good are among the performers in Beaumont, Alberta during the Beaumont Blues and Roots Festival.
2019: Crowbar‘s frontman Kelly Jay Fordham dies in a Calgary hospital after suffering a major stroke a couple weeks earlier. He was 77.
