1985: Northern Lights, consisting of everyone's who's anyone in Canadian music, release "Tears Are Not Enough" to raise money for Ethiopian famine victims. It debuts at #1 on Canada's RPM singles chart.
1991: Cowboy Junkies peak at #43 on Billboard's albums chart with CAUTION HORSES.
1993: April Wine is in Las Vegas for a show at Fuddy Duddy's.
1999: Steppenwolf makes MCA's 20th Century Masters Millenium Collection.
2003: HOPE, an album to benefit child war victims in Iraq, is released today, featuring Canadians Avril Lavigne, Leonard Cohen and Our Lady Peace.
2004: Melissa McClelland releases her STRANDED IN SUBURBIA album.
2004: Capitol re-releases Leggatt's only lp, ILLUMINATIONS on CD.
2010: Regenerator Records release The Chessmen compilation, THE CHESSMEN 1964 - 1966.

2019: The Darby Mills Project close out a two night stand in Vancouver at Fairview Pub.
2019: Social Strife are in Kingston, Ontario for a show at The Overtime.
2019: Jimmy & The Sleepers are back together and in Edmonton for a show at Newcastle Pub. It's also a release party for their new album, ALL THAT MONEY, warming up, and later joining them onstage for "Sweet Home Chicago" is Big Dave Maclean.
Toronto’s Cats Can Fly were originally formed in 1982, your typical bar band covering whatever was hot on the pop and new wave charts at the time. The group consisted of David Ashley on lead vocals and bass, Mitchell James on guitars, drummer Eddie Zeeman and Peter Alexandre on keyboards.
