1945: Roz Parks, who'd played in Magic Circus, Edward Bear and The Paupers is born in Pictou, NS.

1946: Mike McKenna of Luke & The Apostles, Kensington Market, and McKenna Mendelson Mainline is born in Toronto.

1949: Marc Connors of The Nylons is born in Ottawa.

1955: The Crew Cuts begin a 20 week run on the British charts with their cover of The Penguins' "Earth Angel," which hits number three in the US.

1966: Buffalo Springfield, which includes Canadians Neil Young, Dewey Martin, and Bruce Palmer perform together for the first time, opening for the Byrds in San Bernardino, California.

1966: Mercey Brothers peak at #3 on the Canadian country chart with "Uncle Tom."

1968: The Guess Who is in Moose Jaw for a show at The Temple Gardens.

1975: Rush opens for KISS at Stanley Theatre in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

1978: Claudja Barry ends a two week run at #72 on Billboard's chart with "Dancin' Fever" - her first time on the chart.

1978: Max Webster release their MUTINY UP MY SLEEVE album.

1981: Rush is in Jackson, Mississippi for a show at the Coliseum.

1982: Anvil release their sophomore album, METAL ON METAL.

1987: Gordon Lightfoot is in Vancouver for a show at Queen Elizabeth Theatre.

1989: Anne Murray peaks at #55 on Billboard's country chart with "Who But You?"

1996: "Ironic" by Alanis Morissette/"> tops the Canadian singles chart, the third week in a six-week run.

2003: Gaye Delorme releases the album DELORME.

2004: EMI re-releases Zappacosta's "Over 60 Minutes With" package in the US.

2006: Arapacis< release their debut album, SO MANY LEAPERS.

2007: Timbaland's song "Give It To Me," which also features Nelly Furtado tops Billboard's chart.

2008: Carl Dixon, of Coney Hatch, April Wine, and The Guess Who is involved in a serious car collision in Australia.

2008: Thor releases ANTHORLOGY, a comilation of hits, on DVD.

2012: Luke Doucet and wife Melissa McClelland do a show in Viking, Alta.

2012: Connie Kaldor performs at the Mae Wilson Theatre in Moose Jaw, Sask.

2016: The Decoys release their new album, IN OUR BLOOD.

2017: Must Stash Hat is in Waterloo, Ontario for a show at the Chainsaw.

2017: Lex Justice releases his debut solo album, CRAZY WORLD.

2019: Alexisonfire release the video and single, "Familiar Drugs."
