April 14
1901: Henry Burr appears at the opera house in Saint John, NB in his first notable concert with the Scottish soprano Jessie MacLachlan.

1928: Pianist Norman Armadio is born in Timmins, Ontario.

1948: Greg Adams is born in Toronto.

1972: April Wine is in Montreal opening for Jethro Tull at the Forum.

1978: Mahogany Rush is in Seattle, Washington for a show at Paramount Northwest. Opening is Judas Priest.

1979: Hank Snow debuts and peaks at #80 on Billboard's country chart with "The Mysterious Lady From St Martinique.

1979: Blue Peter open for Saga in Dundas, Ontario at The Armory.

1979: Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush are in Florida for a show at the Orlando Arena during the Florida World Music Festival.

1982: Burton Cummings hosts the annual Juno Awards in Toronto for the third time. Bruce Cockburn, Eddie Schwartz, Anne Murray, Loverboy, and Saga all take home awards.

1982: Aldo Nova's self-titled debut is certified gold in the US.

1989: Rita MacNeil makes her Amercian concert debut at the Berklee Performance Center in Boston.

1989: Bryan Adams peforms "Kids Want To Rock" with the Russian group Aureole (Halo) live from Moscow during the internationally broadcasted World Video Music Awards.

1999: Tal Bachman releases the single, "She's So High."

2002: The Barenaked Ladies host the Juno Awards, held for the first time in St. John's, NFLD. Default, Nickelback, Hawksley Workman, and Jann Arden are among the winners.

2009: Holly Woods & Toronto are in Moose Jaw, Sask at The Cornerstone Pub.

2009: Melissa McClelland releases her fourth studio album, VICTORIA DAY.

2009: Barney Bentall releases his LIVE AT CATES HILL album.

2012: Tiffany Dowhan is in Cold Lake, Alberta for a show at Exhibition Park, following the Bullarama.

2015: Craig Ruhnke succumbs to cancer at the age of 65.

2016: Wickedkick release their new single and video, "Throttle Up & Grind."

2017: Walk Off The Earth release their first album on their own label, BEARD BALLADS VOLUME ONE.
