1966: Canadian Sweethearts release the single, "Don't Knock On My Door."1967: Buffalo Springfield finishes off a three night stand in LA at Gazzarro's. Ken Forssi of Love sits in on bass since Bruce Palmer was arrested in New York three weeks earlier on drugs charges, and abandoned there.
1967: Paupers are in Toronto for a show at Boris' Red Gas Room.
1972: Aaron Space's debut single, "Keep On Moving" sits at #83 on the Canadian chart for the second of three weeks.
1980: Stonebolt makes their second appearance on The Raes ' TV show.
1981: Max Webster opens for Rush at the Hammersmith Odeon in London.
1983: Pat Travers is opening for Aerosmith at Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver.
1987: Triumph plays their last show - at MLG in Toronto. All proceeds of $179,356.66 were donated to the United Way.
1991: Bootsauce releases the BULL album and its first single, "Love Monkey #9."
1994: Victor Lombardo, who helped put together Guy Lombardo's Royal Canadians with Guy and their other two brothers, dies in Boca Raton, Florida at the age of 82.
1996: Joni Mitchell becomes the first woman to win the Royal Swedish Academy of Music's Polar Music Prize when she shares it with French composer Pierre Boulez.
1999: The Diodes reunite for the first time in 20 years, appearing on "Open Mike With Mike Bullard" to celebrate the release of their greatest hits package, TIRED OF WAKING UP TIRED.
2008: Blue Rodeo make their first ever appearance in Alberta's Lakeland. Their show in Bonnyville features opening act Luke Doucet and the White Falcon, which features wife Melissa McClelland, as well as hometown boy Clayton Bellamy, who happened to be in town. Doucet also borrows Blue Rodeo's drummer Glenn Milchem for his show.
2010: Big Bad Voodoo Daddy perform at Edmonton's Arden Theatre.
2010: Neil Young performs "Long May You Run" on the final episode of "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien."
2011: Kim Wempe opens for Rawlins Cross at the Rock House in St John's, NFLD, closing out a seven shows in nine nights tour.
2013: Kelly Fraser releases a video of her version of Rhianna's "Diamonds" in her own Inuk language. It catches on and launches her career.
2013: Voivod release their TARGET EARTH album.
2016: Holly Woods is in Toronto for a show at The 40.
2016: Heather Rankin releases the first single from her upcoming A FINE LINE album, a cover of Tears for Fears' 1985 hit "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" featuring Halifax-based rapper Quake Matthews.
2017: Truck Fighters, On The Verse, and Red Kitty are in Toronto for a show at Hardluck Bar.
2017: Former Tupelo Honey member Dan Davidson is now a rising country star, and takes home four ACMAs in Edmonton, including song and video of the year for "Found," co-written by Clayton Bellamy.
2018: Helix's Brian Vollmer releases the single and video for "If You Need Me."
