2006: Canada's superstar publicist, booking agent and personal manager Gino Empry dies of congestive heart failure at the age of 83, after suffering a stroke in July. Empry became famous in the 1970s for bringing international talent to Canada including Tony Bennett, Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald, Tina Turner and Roy Orbison, among others.
2007: Arcade Fire's Win Butler and Regine Chassagne are on stage in Ottawa with Bruce Springsteen, playing "State Trooper" and "Keep the Car Running."
