  Formed in Edmonton at the beginning of the hair metal days in 1980, Millions was led by the double led guitar attack of Dave Cox and Brian Weafer, Randy Lloyd (ex of One Horse Blue) on bass and drummer Todd Ketza.By that summer the band was well on their way paying their dues on the prairie circuit. They were noticed by Rick Erickson who took them into Edmonton’s Damon Sound Studios in the spring of ’81, with Erickson behind the controls. He soon had the band getting extra coverage from local late night TV shows spotlighting the up and coming acts, and on local radio stations’ ‘homegrown’ compilations, with “Just A Fool” and “Lady Denise.” With Cox and Lloyd doing the majority of the writing, they released their self-titled only lp later that year. With the lead off anthemic “I Got Rock n Roll,” “Right To Rock,” “Just A Fool,” and “What Do You Mean By That?” were all typically formulated ‘melodic metal’, and “Just A Fool,” backed with “Livin’ This Way” was released both as a 45 as well as a 7″ single. The band continued on the prairies’ ‘B’ circuit for another year or so, but eventually disbanded, and the members ventured off to other projects, or got out of the business all together.
