1969: John Lennon and Yoko Ono meet with Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau to discuss drug abuse. They'd been hanging out with Ronnie Hawkins at his ranch for the past few days. The Hawk later admits they were smoking weed the whole time, and Yoko reportedly rang up a huge phone bill she's to this day not paid up.
1973: Fludd is at Manta Sound in Toronto, working on what would eventually become part of the GREAT EXPECTATIONS album in '75.
1973: BTO begin a two week run at #68 on Billboard's chart with "Blue Collar."
1974: Rush's show at Electric Ladyland Studios in New York is broadcast live on WQIV.
1976: Max Webster are in Brockville, Ontario for a show at the Collegiate Institute.
1979: "Rebound" becomes CANO's first single to crack RPM's top 100 chart, reaching #97.
1980: Toronto are at home for a show at the Ryerson Theatre.
1980: Madcats are in Toronto for the first of a six night stand at Riverside.
1982: Hometown rockers Glider are in Kitchener for a show at the Coronet Motor Hotel, the third of a four-night run.
1995: Burton Cummings plays an intimate one-man show at Toronto's Glenn Gould Theatre. The show becomes part of the UP CLOSE AND ALONE lp.
1995: Blue Rodeo's NOWHERE TO HERE album is certified platinum.
2001: Doug & The Slugs play at The King's Court in Edmonton, where Doug is presented his Christmas present he'd asked for - a two feet long, red and green toque from BrizMom.
2008: Bedouin Soundclash release the video for their new single, "Until We Burn In The Sun."
2013: The Barenaked Ladies show at SeaWorld is cancelled because the band saw a CNN documentary about the death of an orca-handler, and how the animals are supposedly treated there.
2016: Skydiggers begin a two-night run in Toronto at the Horseshoe Tavern.
2017: The Steadies are in Banff, Alberta for the first of a two-night run at Wild Bill's.
2017: Ronney Abramson re-releases her STOWAWAY album on CD.
2018: Matchstick Skeletons open for Headstones in Toronto at the Danforth Music Hall.
2019: Jann Arden is in Ottawa for the second of a two night run with the National Arts Centre Orchestra.
