1966: Rhythm Pals are on the Canadian country chart for the first time, hitting #3 with "Iron Town," a decade since their show of the same name was cancelled by CBC TV.

1974: The Band kick off a six-week tour with Bob Dylan at Chicago Stadium. It's Dylan's first American tour in eight years. Organizers had received over six million applications for the 660,000 tickets total.

1993: It's announced that Toronto's Gasworks Tavern, a pivotal part of the movie "Wayne's World," will be closing after 25 years. Following a benefit show a week later, the club's 20 staffers announced plans to renovate the club and reopen it in a few months.
