1936: Bill Reed of The Diamonds is born in Toronto.

1965: Bobby Curtola‘s “Alone and Lonely” peaks at #12 on the Canadian singles chart.

1967: A Passing Fancy releases the single, “I’m Losing Tonight.”

1975: Gino Vannelli appears on the longest running US soul show, “Soul Train.” He’s one of only a few white artists ever to do so to that point, and the only Canadian.

1974: Hank Snow releases his HELLO LOVE album, and the title track as its first single.

1975: The Guess Who‘s “Dancin’ Fool” peaks at #11 on the Canadian singles chart.

1975: Hank Snow peaks on Billboard’s country chart at #26 with “Easy To Love.”

1977: Sweeney Todd featuring Bryan Adams are in Richmond, BC for a show at Hugh Boyd Secondary School.

1978: Guess Who are in Vancouver, opening for Nazareth at Pacific Coliseum.

1984: Platinum Blonde release the single, “Doesn’t Really Matter.”

1986: Rush see “Big Money” peak at #46 on Billboard’s chart. It’s the last time their singles are on the chart.

1986: Kick Axe and Lee Aaron are in Regina for a show at the Centre for the Arts.

1986: Glass Tiger release their first single, “Don’t Forget Me When I’m Gone.”

1995: Crash Test Dummies release the single, “The Ballad of Peter Pumpkinhead.”

1999: Barenaked Ladies top RPM’s singles chart for the first time with “It’s All Been Done,” beginning a two-week run.

2000: Blue Rodeo releases THE DAYS IN BETWEEN album.

2000: The Pursuit of Happiness releases SEX AND FOOD – BEST OF TPOH.

2005: Lisa Brokop releases her album, HEY, DO YOU KNOW ME?

2005: Nickelback is in Abbotsford, BC for some studio time at Mountain View Studios. The sessions become part of the ALL THE RIGHT REASONS album later that year.

2018: Helix‘s Brian Vollmer releases his solo album, GET YOUR HANDS DIRTY.

2019: Hunting Giants release their debut EP, SKYWARD EYES.

2020: Corden Barrett releases his new single and video, “So Amazing.”

2020: Chris Blacknine Blakk releases his new single and video, “Lowest of the Low.”
