1946: Best known for his time in Janis Joplin’s Full Tilt Boogie Band, keyboardist Richard Bell is born in Toronto.

1965: “Klondike Mike” by Hal Willis peaks on the Canadian country chart at #2.

1967: Paupers end a two-week stint at New York’s Cafe Au Go Go. The first two shows they opened for Jefferson Airplane, then it was reversed the rest of the week because Paupers were mopping the floor with the Airplane. The second week Paupers were alone, despite Airplane still being on the bill.

1972: Poppy Family are in Campbell River, BC for a show at the Community Hall.

1975: Mahogany Rush is in La Crosse, Wisconsin for a show at the Mary E Sawyer Auditorium.

1976: Chilliwack and the Karroll Brothers Band are in Kelowna for a show at the Rutland Centennial Hall.

1976: Rush kick off the 2112 tour at the Randhurst Mall Ice Arena in Mt Prospect, Illinois.

1988: The single, “Cool Love” by Alta Moda is released.

1988: Dan Hill is featured on Solid Gold. The show is dedicated to tear jerking love songs, and he lip-synchs “Can’t We Try?”

1990: Bob Regan of Canadian Sweethearts dies of cancer in his Los Angeles home at the age of 58.
