1977: Oakley is in Richibucto, NB for the second of a five night run at The Bear’s Den.

1978: Greg Adams releases his debut self-titled album.

1982: Kate & Anna McGarrigle release their LOVE OVER AND OVER album.

1983: At the annual Genie Awards ceremony in Toronto, Burton Cummings wins for Best Original Song for “You Saved My Soul” from the Melanie soundtrack, a movie which he co-starred in.

1991: Annihilator end a UK tour, opening for Judas Priest at the Hammersmith Odeon a second straight night.

1994: hHead is in Mendocino, California, working on what would become their JERK album at Philo’s Ranch.

1995: Claudja Barry releases the US only album, DISCO MIXES, extended versions of a handful of her previous hits.

1996: Nickelback releases their debut EP, HESHER.

1998: Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” tops the Canadian singles chart for the fourth of six weeks.
