1952: Paul Naumann from Foot In Cold Water is born in Scarborough, Ont.

1972: “Heart of Gold” by Neil Young tops Canada\’s RPM singles chart. Its album, HARVEST, is also on top of the Canadian charts.

1972: Anne Murray peaks at #11 on Billboard\’s country chart with “Cotton Jenny.”

1973: “Journey Through the Past,” Neil Young\’s home movie collection, premieres at the US Film Festival in Dallas. Young describes the film as “a collection of thoughts,” adding that “every scene meant something to me – although with some of them I can\’t say what.”

1975: Rush open for KISS in Cleveland, OH, along with The Kidds. KISS was taping the show for their ALIVE! lp.

1975: BTO is in Des Moines, Iowa for a show at Veterans Auditorium. Opening are Bob Seger and Thin Lizzy.

1978: Claudja Barry begins a two week run at #72 on Billboard\’s chart with “Dancin\’ Fever.” It\’s the first time she makes Billboard\’s list.

1978: Gordon Lightfoot peaks on Billboard at #33 with “The Circle Is Small.”

1979: Rush is in Providence, RI for a show at the Civic Center.

1979: David Wilcox is in Cambridge, Ontario for a show at Sulphur Springs Club.

1982: Silver Darts and Powder Blues are in Ottawa for a show at the Civic Centre Salon.

1984: Rush is in Montreal for the first of a two night stand at The Forum.

1991: Rush\’s Neil Peart performs three songs with the Buddy Rich Band at the Ritz Theater in New York City.

1996: “Ironic” by Alanis Morissette> tops the Canadian singles chart, the second week in a six-week run.

2003: I Mother Earth release their THE QUICKSILVER MEAT DREAM album.

2011: It\’s another tour for Emerson Drive, as they kick it off in Evansville, Indiana.

2011: Marianas Trench release the video for their new single, “Celebrity Status.”

2014: Danko Jones releases his new compilation of recently found demos and throwaways, GARAGE ROCK! A COLLECTION OF LOST SONGS.

2014: Three Days Grace release the single, “Painkiller.”

2016: Marlene Clarke and Darren Painter are in Barrie, Ontario for an acoustic show at Barnstormer Brew House.

2016: Gabrielle Papillon is in Pierceland, Saskatchewan for a show at Maguire\’s Bridge.
