1951: Charity Brown is born as Phyllis Boltz in Kitchener, Ont.

1956: Mark Bradac of Teaze is born in Windsor, Ontario.

1967: Neil Young & Crazy Horse are in Providence, RI for a pair of shows that night at The Warehouse.

1968: 49th Parallel is in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan for the second of a two-night stand at Temple Gardens Dance Hall.

1971: The Band begin their first European tour in Rotterdam, Holland.

1973: The Guess Who are in Houghton, Michigan for a show at M.T.U. Opening is Bruce Springsteen.

1973: Chantal Kreviazuk is born in Winnipeg as Jennifer Chantal Kreviazuk.

1975: The Guess Who is in Escoheag, RI for a show at Stepping Stone Ranch.

1979: Max Webster play for the first time in Belgium, in Poperinge-Mackeblijde.

1979: Mellissa McClelland is born in Hamilton.

1982: Gordon Lightfoot peaks at #50 on Billboard with “Baby Step Back.”

1982: Loverboy is in Saskatoon for a show at Saskatoon Arena.

1984: Lee Aaron‘s debut album from two years earlier is re-released on Attic Records.

1995: Luba releases CHAIN REACTION from 1979 on CD.

1997: Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings performed together for the first time in fourteen years in front of over 40,000 at The Forks in Winnipeg for a Red River flood relief benefit concert organized by Tom Jackson. A number of other Canadian performers also took the stage, including Chantal Kreviazuk and Tom Cochrane.

2003: Rush‘s Alex Lifeson guest stars on The Trailer Park Boys.

2004: Cats & Dogs hold an album release party for THIS LIFE in Toronto at the Hard Rock Cafe.

2004: Bullseye Records releases LIVE AT THE GODS in Canada as a Rubber album. It happens to be the exact same album released in Europe and Japan as a Harem Scarem album, and a year and a half later.

2004: Alanis Morissette releases SO CALLED CHAOS, as well as the first single, “Everything.”

2007: Alfie Zappacosta is home in Edmonton for a show at Jeffrey’s.

2008: Finger 11 is in Providence, RI for a show at Lupo’s At The Strand.

2017: The Pemberton Music Festival, slated to run July 13 to 16 is cancelled and a bankruptcy trustee is appointed. Scheduled to appear were Chance the Rapper, Muse and A Tribe Called Quest, Major Lazer, Haim, Run The Jewels, and dozens more acts.

2018: While driving in LA, Burton Cummings is broadsided by someone who’d run a red light. He escapes with only a concussion and minor cuts and bruises.
