1945: Mike Hanford, singer for Gettysbyrg Address is born in Winnipeg.

1948: Walter Rossi is born Rossignuoli Rossi in Naples, Italy.

1970: Manchild are in Toronto for a show at St Gabe’s.

1973: Guess Who is in Fort Worth, Texas for a show at The Tarrant County Convention Centre.

1971: Smyle enter the Canadian albums chart at #99 with their self-titled debut.

1976: Ronnie Prophet peaks at #50 on Billboard’s country chart with “It’s Enough.”

1979: Rush is in Hamburg, Germany. Opening is Max Webster.

1980: Photograph open for The Monks in North Bay, Ontario at Memorial Garden.

1982: Aldo Nova is on Billboard’s singles list for the first time, peaking at #23 with “Fantasy.”

1983: Triumph takes the stage at the Us Festival, outside San Bernadino, California. They’re the only Canadian act over the three days.

1988: Bob Dylan makes a guest appearance at a Levon Helm concert at New York’s Lone Star Cafe. The two perform “The Weight” and Chuck Berry’s “Nadine.”

1986: “This Could Be The Night” from Loverboy peaks on the Billboard chart at #10.

1989: Trooper releases their THE LAST OF THE GYPSIES album.

1995: Bryan Adams tops Canada’s RPM singles chart with “Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman,” starting a five-week run.

2006: Saga releases THE VERY BEST OF SAGA.

2007: The second annual ‘Tribute To Domenic Troiano – We All Need Love’ cancer fundraiser is held in Toronto, featuring a who’s who of the past, present and future of Canadian music, including many artists Troiano worked with during his 30 year career before succumbing to cancer in 2005. Money raised was donated to the Toronto East General Hospital.

2007: Collectable Records releases Corey Hart‘s first two albums, FIRST OFFENSE and BOY IN THE BOX in a double CD package.

2008: Matthew Good‘s show in Toronto is released later that year as LIVE AT MASSEY HALL.

2012: Billy Talent are in Brighton, England to kick off their tour in support of the upcoming album, DEAD SILENCE.

2015: Greg Godovitz is going solo, doing a show in Toronto at Linsmore Tavern.

2015: The Dead South are in Germany at the Campus Open Air Festival in Lubeck, Germany.
