1952: Brian “Too Loud” MacLeod, guitarist for Chilliwack and The Headpins and famed producer is born in St. John’s, NFLD.

1955: Curtis Tulman of Cruzeros is born in Kelowna, BC.

1966: Hank Snow peaks on Billboard’s country chart at #22 with “The Countdown.”

1966: The Great Scots are on American Bandstand, where they pretend to perform “Ball and Chain” and “Run Run For Your Life.”

1974: Mahogany Rush release their sophomore album, CHILD OF THE NOVELTY.

1975: Max Webster and Rush are on the same bill for the first time, playing in Toronto at Massey Hall.

1976: Mahogany Rush is in Chicago for a show at the Aragon Ballroom.

1977: Max Webster‘s “High Class In Borrowed Shoes” enters the Canadian pop chart at #91.

1978: The legendary Riverboat Club in Toronto’s Yorkville Village closes, with a performance by Murray McLauchlan.

1979: Greg Adams releases his RUNAWAY DREAMS album.

2010: Trooper opens for Colin James at Casino Rama in Rama, Ontario.

2013: Matt Blais releases his new single and video, “Goodbye Sunshine.”
