1970: Janis Joplin is in Honolulu, Hawaii for a show at the International Centre Arena. With her is the mostly Canadian Full Tilt Boogie Band.

1973: Blood Sweat & Tears are in New York City during the Schaefer Music Festival.

1974: Anne Murray tops Billboard’s country chart with “He Thinks I Still Care.”

1975: Bob Ruzicka releases the single “Sunshine Lady.”

1984: Corey Hart opens for April Wine at the Metro Centre in Halifax.

1985: Corey Hart‘s “Never Surrender” begins four weeks on top of Canada’s RPM singles chart. He also appears on Solid Gold, pretending to sing the song.

1985: Carroll Baker peaks at #95 on Billboard’s country chart with “It Always Hurts Like The First.” It’s the last time she makes Billboard.

1989: Anvil’s first live album, PAST AND PRESENT – LIVE IN CONCERT is released.

1991: “I Know You’ll Wait” by Patti Jannetta reaches #28 on the Canadian AC chart.

1991: Bryan Adams is in Milton Keynes, England for an outdoor show at The Bowl.

1999: Shania Twain kicks off the European leg of her current tour in Glasgow at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre. Opening is Leahy.

1999: Ron Sexsmith is in Harlesden, England for a show at Mean Fiddler.

2005: World renowned opera tenor Richard Verreau passes away at the age of 79 of natural causes.
