1949: Eddie Eastman is born in Terra Nova, NS.

1966: The Chessmen perform their last show together in a club in Ladner, BC.

1967: Gettysbyrg Address enters the Canadian top 100 for the first time with “Love is a Beautiful Thing.”

1967: “I Can’t Even Do Wrong Right” by Johnny Burke enters the Canadian country chart at #10.

1978: Hank Snow spends the first of two weeks peaking at #93 on Billboard’s country chart with “Nevertheless.”

1980: Teaze is in Calgary for the first of two shows at Frankie and Johnny’s.

1980: DOA are in Toronto for a show at the Cabana Room, the first of two nights.

1984: Kick Axe perform for the first time in Nashville.

1993: Neil Young‘s UNPLUGGED CD and video are released. Recorded on February 7th in Los Angeles and first aired on MTV in March, it’s an all-acoustic 14-song set.

1994: Matt Minglewood is in Edmonton for the second of two nights at Peoples Pub.

1996: “The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You” by Bryan Adams is atop Canada’s RPM singles chart.

1997: Blue Rodeo releases their TREMOLO album.

2003: What’s left of The Band reform and release the JUBILATION album.

2004: The Frank open for Default on the opening night of the 3-day BIG A$$ Border Bash in Cold Lake, Alberta.

2006: Grady is in Edmonton for a show at Cowboys.

2006: Local sensations Jawanamon play in Cold Lake, AB in front of hundreds of screaming fans, where they back up Tupelo Honey and Default at the Exhibition Grounds.

2008: Spirit of the West release the compilation album, SPIRITUALITY – 1983 – 2008.

2008: Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush are in Cleveland, Ohio for a show at House of Blues.

2009: Mike Plume releases his 8:30 NEWFOUNDLAND album.

2011: Serotonin Crush bring the house down when they play at the Nakusp Music Festival in Nakusp, BC.

2011: Locals Angels To Ashes open for Econoline Crush and Our Lady Peace in Cold Lake, AB.

2013: Eleven Past One see their single, “The World is Ours” go gold in Canada.

2016: Punch Drunk Cabaret are somewhere near Drumheller, Alberta, shooting the video for “King of Bees.”

2017: April Wine is on stage at Grand Falls, NFLD for the annual Salmon Festival.

2018: Alimony Brothers are in Vancouver for a show at Wise Lounge.

2018: Matt Epp has an album release party for SHADOWLAND in Vernon, BC at Record City. The earlier matinee show has Mcy Sharratt and Grant Richardson take the stage.

2019: Bulow’s latest single, “Not A Love Song” is certified double platinum.
