1973: Watkins Glen Raceway in upstate New York hosts Summer Jam in front of an estimated 600,000 people. On the bill are The Band, as well as over a couple dozen other acts.
1973: Anne Murray peaks at #20 on Billboard’s country chart with “What About Me?”
1974: Max Webster open for Walter Ostanek in St Catharine’s, Ontario at the Lower Level Parking Lot.
1975: Bachman Turner Overdrive kick off their first Canadian tour, playing in Regina.
1978: Ian Tyson is among the guests on The Raes Variety Hour.
1979: Blue Peter is in London, Ont.’s Southwest Studios, where they record TEST PATTERNS FOR LIVING.
1980: Rush and Max Webster are in Phase One Studios in Toronto to record “Battle Scar.”
1980: Streetheart opens for AC/DC in Toronto at Maple Leaf Gardens.
1983: Triumph release their NEVER SURRENDER album.
1983: Streetheart is in Edmonton to close a two night run at Convention Inn South. The show is taped and used for the LIVE AFTER DARK album later that year.
1984: Corey Hart is on American Bandstand, singing “Sunglasses At Night.”
1984: Bruce Cockburn is in Camp Fortune, Quebec.
1989: The Anne Murray Centre opens in her hometown of Springhill, NS.
1992: Barenaked Ladies release their breakout album GORDON.
2000: Chilliwack plays at Skyreach Centre in Edmonton during Klondike Days. The show is recorded and becomes part of the THERE AND BACK LIVE album.
2005: Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush are in Southampton, England for a show at The Brook.
2005: Bif Naked releases her album, SUPERBEAUTIFULMONSTER in Canada.
2005: With Danny Hooper as MC, Charlie Major and Paul Brandt kick off the Big Valley Jamboree outside Camrose, Alberta.
