1940: Brent Titcomb of 3’s A Crowd and solo artist, is born in Vancouver as Arthur Brent Titcomb.

1974: BTO peaks at #12 on Billboard’s chart with “Takin’ Care of Business.”

1977: Garfield is in Kitchener, Ontario for the first of a two-night stand at The Coronet.

1979: Matt Mays is born in Hamilton.

1979: The Kingbees (featuring Canadian Jamie James) are in LA for a show at the Pan-Andreas Theatre.

1982: Coney Hatch is in Ottawa for a show at Barrymore’s Music Hall.

1983: Coney Hatch opens for Fastway and Iron Maiden in Kalamazoo, Michigan at Wings Stadium.

1984: Voivod releases their debut album, WAR AND PAIN.

1985: Anne Murray peaks at #7 on Billboard’s country chart with “I Don’t Think I’m Ready For You,” the second of two weeks in that spot.

1991: Bryan Adams is atop Canada’s singles chart with “Everything I Do.”

1993: I Mother Earth release their debut album, DIG.

1996: The Guess Who plays a show at Moravian College, PA. The show is taped and becomes part of THE SPIRIT LIVES ON album.

1996: Paul Brandt makes Billboard\’s country chart for the first time, peaking at #102 with “Calm Before The Storm.”

1997: Harem Scarem releases the Japan-only album, LIVE ONES.

2002: At the Edmonton Folk Festival, with Long John Baldry at his side, Bobby Cameron receives a standing ovation from the enthusiastic audience.

2006: Ra McGuire from Trooper not only visits the local library, but he also reads passages from his new book, “Here For a Good Time”, at the main branch of the Ottawa Public Library.

2010: Carolyn Dawn Johnson releases her LOVE RULES album.

2013: Images In Vogue and The Spoons are on the card during the second annual Spirit of the Eighties festival at Academy Park in Lewiston, NY.

2013: Loverboy, Blackie & The Rodeo Kings, and Kim Mitchell are on the bill at the third annual Edmonton Rocks Music Festival.

2017: Darby Mills and April Wine are on the bill at CanaFest, in Grand Forks, BC.

2017: Trooper headlines the 70th anniversary of Peachfest, in Penticton, BC.

2018: It’s country day at Peachfest 71 in Penticton, BC. Headlining is George Canyon.

2018: Teenage Head is in Toronto for a show at The Duke.

2018: Whale & The Wolf headline day of one of the Dog Patch Music Festival, outside Loon Lake, Sask.

2018: Gene Simmons and his band are on stage in Grand Forks, BC for CannaFest. Joining them for a rendition of “I Was Made For Loving You” is Darby Mills.

2019: Jim Byrnes is in the heart of the Okanagan, playing to an intimate crowd at Ex Nihilo Vineyards.

2019: Punch Drunk Cabaret is in Cold Lake, Alberta for a show during the Verge Arts Festival. The crowd is also the first to get a shot at the band\’s repackaging of the first two albums, THE DUSTBOWL YEARS.

2019: Gardy Edward Allen opens for the Paris Black Band in Toronto at the Linsmore Tavern.

2019: Matty Black releases his new single, “I Know I Know.”
