1926: Juliette Augustina Cavazzi, nicknamed “Our pet”, a Canadian singer and CBC TV host from the ’50s to the ’70s, is born in Winnipeg.

1967: Orval Prophet enters the Canadian country chart at #9 with “Human Nature.”

1970: The Isle of Wight Festival kicks off in England, riddled with unpaid musicians and an angry mob that can’t get in. During Joni Mitchell’s set, someone from the audience jumps on stage and screams into the mic the festival\’s nothing but a “hippie concentration camp,” causing Mitchell to burst into tears.

1974: Rush is in Cleveland at The Agora Ballroom.

1975: Tyler Connolly of Theory of a Deadman is born in Delta, BC.

1975: Mahogany Rush is in Davenport, Indiana for a show at the RKO Orpheum Theatre.

1976: Mahogany Rush is in Louisville, KY for a show at the Louisville Gardens.

1978: Chilliwack sees “Arms of Mary” peak at #67 on Billboard’s chart.
