1960: Jay Semko of Northern Pikes is born in Saskatoon.

1965: All hail the country/pop babe! Shania Twain is born in Timmins, Ont.

1967: “Cornflakes and Ice-Cream” by The Lords Of London reach #1 on 1050 CHUM’s (Toronto radio station) chart knocking off Lulu’s “To Sir With Love.”
