1973: Canyon is in Richibucto, NB for a show at The Bear’s Den. The group consists of, among others, Bernie Aubin, later of Headpins fame, and Larry Maillet, who later joined Molly Oliver.

1974: Scrubbaloe Caine’s debut album, ROUND ONE, peaks at #61 on the Canadian albums chart – the first of two weeks in that position.

1974: Mahogany Rush are in Washington, DC for a show at Lisner Auditorium.

1977: Oakley is in Richibucto, NB for a show at The Bear’s Den.

1977: Stampeders and Minglewood are in Toronto for a two-night stand at The Black Swan.

1978: The Jim Byrnes Al Foreman Rhythm & Blues Revue is the headliner at the Commodore in Vancouver.

1979: Triumph is in Peterborough, Ont for a show at Artspace.

1982: Saga open for Jethro Tull at the Philadelphia Spectrum.

1984: WALKING THE RAZOR’S EDGE from Helix peaks at #69 on Billboard’s album chart.

1984: Honeymoon Suite sees “New Girl Now” peak at #52 on Billboard’s chart.

1989: Chalk Circle releases their album, AS THE CROW FLIES.

1990: RAGGED GLORY, the Neil Young and Crazy Horse reunion album is released.

1992: Tragically Hip release their FULLY COMPLETELY album.

1994: Barstool Prophets open for The Dave Matthews Band’s first ever Canadian show, at Lee’s Palace in Toronto.

1997: Sarah McLachlan tops Canada’s RPM singles chart with “Building A Mystery” for the second week of a two-week run.

1999: Bryan Adams is at Wembley Stadium for a stripped-down tour, with himself handling bass.

2000: Big Sugar is in Edmonton for a show at the Shaw Conference Centre.

2001: Diana Krall peaks on the Billboard jazz albums chart at #9 with THE LOOK OF LOVE.

2005: The movie Colour Me Kubrick is released, with a soundtrack by Bryan Adams.

2006: Thirty five years since they last played together, Troyka is on stage in Edmonton at the Winspear Centre.

2006: The Trailer Park Boys hit the big screen, whose soundtrack includes Rush, among others.

2007: Broken Social Scene peaks on Billboard’s chart at #113 with “What If?”

2007: Corb Lund is in Raleigh, North Carolina for a show at The Hideaway.

2007: Steppenwolf are in Aberdeen, Maryland at Ripken Stadium, claiming it to be their farewell concert. It didn’t last long and John Kay was using the name again early the next year.

2007: Diana Krall peaks on the Billboard jazz albums chart at #19 with THE VERY BEST OF DIANA KRALL.

2009: Anvil releases their long awaited documentary DVD entitled ANVIL – THE STORY OF ANVIL. They also make their first ever national TV appearance that evening when they show up on Conan O’Brien’s show.

2009: Matthew Good releases the VANCOUVER album.

2009: The Trews release their ACOUSTIC – FRIENDS AND TOTAL STRANGERS album.

2013: The Western Canadian Music Awards are held in Calgary. Don Amero wins Aboriginal Recording of the Year for “Heart On My Sleeve,” Gord Bamford gets the country recording nod for “Is It Friday Yet?” and Sheepdogs‘ self-ttiled debut wins Rock Album of the Year.

2016: Canada’s Walk of Fame celebration goes down in Toronto. The only musical inductee is Corey Hart.

2017: Matt Minglewood is in Edmonton for a show at Century Casino.

2017: Gowan is in London, Ontario for a show at the London Music Hall.

2018: Andrea Suplerstein is in Vernon, BC for a show at the Vernon Jazz Club.

2018: Shred Kelly is in Cold Lake, Alberta for a show at The Lakeland Inn.

2018: 54-40 and Skydiggers end a two-night run in Vancouver at The Commodore.
