Chilliwack release SEGUE – their greatest hits album.
1984: At the Country Music Association Awards in Nashville,
Anne Murray wins for best new album, for A LITTLE GOOD NEWS. It's the
first time a Canadian takes home the honour.
1985:
Arrows release the album, THE LINES ARE OPEN.
1988:
Frozen Ghost release their sophomore album, NICE PLACE TO VISIT.
1992: The Ottawa Senators open their inaugural NHL season at home at the Civic Centre against
Montreal. Singing the national anthem is
Alanis Morrissette.
1996:
Charlie Major's first two Canadian releases are repackaged in the US
as HERE AND NOW.
1997:
Moxy Fruvous is in Columbus, Ohio for a show at Ludow's.

2012: "Boardwalk Empire" is on TV. It features the song "My Buddy" by
early 20th century tenor
