Men Without Hats' Ivan Doroschuk is born in Champaign,
Illinois.

1966: The Rogues play their first gig under their new name,
The Mandala at Toronto's Club Kingsway. They also perform their first
single, "Opportunity" for the first time during the matinee and evening shows, and band member
Domenic Troiano meets his future wife,
Shawne Jackson, also appearing on the card.

1970:
Joni Mitchell is in London, England for a taping of BBC In
Concert.

1972:
Bobby G Griffths releases his new single, "Sound of
Peace."

1976:
Mahogany Rush are in Indianapolis, IN for a show at the State
Fairgrounds.

1976:
Gino Vannelli\'s "Love Of My Life" peaks on
Billboard's chart at #57.

1980: Despite releasing several singles before and after,
Stanley Frank releases his first and only full-fledged album, PLAY IT
'TIL IT HURTS.

1981:
Blue Northern release their self-titled second album.

1982:
Anne Murray peaks at #7 on Billboard's country chart with "Hey
Baby."

1982:
Rush top Canada's RPM singles chart for the first time ever with "New
World Man" – the first of a two-week run.

1984:
Toronto release the ASSAULT AND FLATTERY album.

1984:
Platinum Blonde release the single, "Not In Love."

1989: < a href="Lee Aaron/">Lee Aaron releases her new single, the
title track from her BODYROCK album. It debuts on the Canadian chart at #80.

1991:
Bryan Adams releases the single, "Can't Stop This Thing We
Started."

1996:
Colleen Peterson succumbs to cancer at the age of 45.

2001:
Leonard Cohen releases his TEN NEW SONGS album, his first studio record
in a decade.

2005:
The Pursuit of Happiness release their new single, a cover of
Prince's "When Doves Cry."

2007:
George Canyon releases his all-covers album, CLASSICS.

2009: Michael Buble performs his new single, "Haven't We Met" on
Oprah.

2009:
Oakley is in Halifax for a show at Montes.

2010: As part of the Canadian leg of the tour,
Crash Test Dummies are home in Winnipeg. Dan Roberts and Mitch
Dorge join Brad Roberts and Ellen Reid for the first performance by the original line-up in a decade. Ben
Darvill wasn't present for the reunion, despite having played a solo show in town a few days
earlier.

2009:
Oakley is in Halifax for a show at Montes.

2011:
Blue Rodeo's
Jim Cuddy and
Chantal Kreviazuk perform the National Anthem during the Winnipeg
Jets' first home opener in 15 years.

2012:
Danko Jones releases his new album, ROCK AND ROLL IS BLACK AND BLUE to the
North American audiences.

2017: American born Alvin Queen, who's lived in Canada for ages and the former drummer
for
Oscar Peterson, is denied entry into the US by Homeland Security. He
was set to perform at a concert in Washington, DC on November 15th at the behest of The French-American
Cultural Foundation. Instead, he hosts a drum clinic that night in Montreal.

2018: Orange Citadel release their new single, "Sting."

2018: The American Music Awards go down in LA at the Microsoft Theatre. Although Drake is
nominated eight times, no Canadians win anything, and Shawn Mendes is the only Canadian performer, singing
"Lost in Japan" with Zedd.

2018:
Matt Blais releases his new single and video, "Fool's
Gold."

2020:
Alfie Zappacosta and some friends are in Edmonton for a show at Spotlight
Cabaret, the first of a two night stand.
