on One Arrow First Nation, near Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

1967: Seeds of Time, who would later morph into
Prism, headline a show at Vancouver's
Retinal Circus Nightclub.

1973:
Ian Thomas enters the Billboard Hot 100
at #96 with "Painted Ladies."

1973:
The DeFranco Family make their
second appearance in six months on "American Bandstand,"
performing "Heartbeat, It's A Lovebeat."

1973:
Rush opens for New York Dolls at the Victory
Burlesque Theatre in Toronto – two shows in one night.

1973:
Neil Young's TIME FADES AWAY
enters Billboard's Top Albums list at #93.

1974:
Myles and Lenny release their
eponymous debut album.

1978:
Anne Murray and
Stonebolt are among the guests on Midnight
Special, hosted by Wolfman Jack.

1984:
Neil Young is in Vancouver for a show
at Pacific Coliseum.

Triumph releases their EDGE OF EXCESS album
in Canada only, at first.

Annihilator releases their ALL FOR YOU

Luke Doucet releases his new album,

Trooper plays 4 Wing, the Air Force base in
Cold Lake, AB for the first time. It's new drummer Clayton
Hill's first time in the Jewel of the Lakeland, and his second
show with them.

Greg Keelor and The Sadies are in
Calgary at The Mac Hall.

2007: Faber Drive's single, "Tongue

Anne Murray's autobiography,

Headstones frontman Hugh Dillon releases
his debut album, WORKS WELL WITH OTHERS.

2012: The Balconies, Funkafeelya, and
Clayton Bellamy open for
Big Sugar in Cold Lake, Alberta at The
Energy Centre.

Tupelo Honey frontman Dan Davidson
has gone country, and releases his debut album, SONGS FOR
GEORGIA.

2017: Juliette Augustina Cavazzi, nicknamed "Our
pet", Canadian singer and CBC TV host from the 50s to the 70s,
dies at the age of 91.

2018: Special tribute is paid to
Stompin' Tom Connors during the
Maple Leafs/Jets game in Toronto, on the occasion of him being inducted
in the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame days earlier.

2019: Puppets of Rage release their debut EP,
INSANE.

2019: Megan Freedman releases her new single,
"Roots and Wings."

2019: It's announced that
Chilliwack,
Bobby Curtola,
Cowboy Junkies, and
Andy Kim will be inducted into the
Canadian Music Hall of Fame during the next Juno Awards.

2019: The New Customs are in Drayton Valley, Alberta
for a show at Seasons.
