1967: The Paupers are in Detroit, opening for MC5 and closing a three-night run at the Grande Ballroom.

1969: Steppenwolf‘s MONSTER album is released, along with the first single, “Move Over.”

1976: Gordon Lightfoot‘s single, “The Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald” hits #1 on the Billboard pop chart.

1977: Guy Lombardo dies of heart problems at the age of 75.

1983: Helix peaks at #186 on Billboard’s albums chart with NO REST FOR THE WICKED.

1984: Bryan Adams releases RECKLESS, the first Canadian album to top a million sales at home.

2019: Celebrating 50 years on the scene, Downchild Blues Band is in Lloydminster, Sask for a show at the Vic Juba Community Theatre.

2019: Jr Gone Wild drummer Larry Shelast succumbs to a heart attack.
