1964: The Ugly Ducklings are in a rehearsal hall in Scarborough, Ontario. They record the song “I’m A Man,” which doesn’t see the light of day for 40 years – when Sundazed Records release it on a compilation album.

1965: Stu Phillips’ single, “Cathy Keep Playing” enters the Canadian country chart at #8.

1965: Dee & The Yeomen’s “Take The Last Train Home” enters the Canadian pop chart at #37.

1969: Troyka are home in Edmonton for a show at the Kinsmen Field House with Canned Heat.

1969: Blood Sweat and Tears‘ “And When I Die” enters the Billboard pop chart at #10.

1969: Andy Kim peaks at #36 on Billboard’s chart with “So Good Together.”

1973: Stampeders release their FROM THE FIRE album.

1974: Mahogany Rush are in Atlanta on the third of a four-night stand at the Electric Ballroom.

1976: Burton Cummings performs solo for the first time since leaving Guess Who, playing at Manitoba Centennial Hall in Winnipeg.

1977: July Black is born in Toronto.

1980:Teenage Head peak at #86 on the Canadian singles chart with “Let’s Shake.”

1991: Bryan Adams‘ single, “Can’t Stop This Thing We Started” is certified gold in the US.

1992: The two volume John Allan Cameron set CLASSIC JOHN ALLAN is released.

1998:Roy Forbes releases his CRAZY OLD MOON album.

2003: Ryan Malcolm’s “Something More” is the number one song in Canada for the third week in a row.

2005: Nickelback release the single, “Animals.”

2005: George Canyon releases his holiday album, HOME FOR CHRISTMAS.

2005: Tragically Hip release their YER FAVOURITES album.

2008: Great Big Sea is in Edmonton for a show at the Northern Jubilee Auditorium.

2011: Rush release the live TIME MACHINE album.
