1970: Leopold Simoneau gives his final performance with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra in “Handel’s Messiah” – regarded as the outstanding Mozart tenor of his generation.

1970:Steppenwolf begin recording what would become their FOR LADIES ONLY album in LA’s American Recording Studios.

1972: Blood Sweat & Tears are among the first performers, and the only Canadian act, on the debut of “In Concert” on ABC-TV.

1973: Anne Murray is in LA for the fourth of a five-night stand at The Troubador.

1977: It’s Goddo, Max Webster, and hypnotist Mike Mandel all on the same bill at Century Gardens in Brampton, Ontario.

1983: Prism release their BEAT STREET album.

1983: Coney Hatch is in Quebec City to close out a two night stand at Bar Rock Rive Sud.

1990: Alias begin a four-week run on top of the Canadian singles chart with “More Than Words Can Say.” It also peaks at #2 on Billboard’s list.

1997: Julian Austin is in Kingston, Ontario for a show at the Iron Horse Saloon. The show is used for the video for the single, “DIamond.”

2002: Randy Bachman is in Vancouver at Richards on Richards. The show is taped for the CBC, and also winds up on the EP, THE SOUNDTRACK OF OUR LIVES.

2008: Deserters and Platinum Blonde guitarist Kenny MacLean dies of a heart attack at the age of 52.

2009: Doc Walker release their new single and video, their cover of Genesis’ “That’s All.”

2012: Neil Young & Crazy Horse are in Halifax for a show at Scotia Bank Place.

2014: Kim Mitchell is the entertainment at the Grey Cup festivities in Toronto at Molson Canadian House.

2014: Trews are in Campbell River, BC for a show at Tidemark Theatre.

2015: Mighty Height and Voodoo are on stage at Cherry Cola’s in Toronto.

2016: Natalie MacMaster and Daniel Leahy release their yuletide album, CELTIC FAMILY CHRISTMAS.

2016: Sarah McLachlan performs on NBC TV during Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.

2016: Bloody Diamonds release the single and video for, “Tough Love.”

2017: George Canyon is in Drayton Valley, Alberta for the second of two sold out shows at the Omniplex.

2017: Harpdog Brown is live in White Rock, BC at Blue Frog Studio.

2017: Thor, featuring Frank Soda, are in Toronto for a show at the Rockpile.

2018: Matchstick Skeletons open for Headstones at The Commodore in Vancouver, the first of a two-night run.

2018: Tianna Woods releases her holiday single, “Mistletoe Kisses.”

2019: Third Chamber release the single, “Harvesting Our Decay.”

2018: “Happens To The Heart,” Leonard Cohen’s posthumous new single is released.

2019: Highfront releases their new single and video, “Sundown At Sally’s Place.”

2019: Shawn Mendes performs his hit duet, “Senorita” with girlfriend Camila Cabello at the American Music Awards. The duo wins the award for Collaboration of the Year.

2019: Kaithola release their new single and video, “Ilaki.”
