1971: Steppenwolf see the title track to their FOR LADIES ONLY album peak at #64 on Billboard’s chart.

1975: Witness Inc play at the City Centre in Winnipeg.

1977: Peter Pringle enters Canada’s pop chart at #96 with “You Really Got Me Needing You.”

1979: Triumph is in Mississauga, Ontario at Metalworks Studio. The sessions are used a few months later when PROGRESSIONS OF POWER is released.

1980: Doug & The Slugs are in Vancouver for a show at The Commodore.

1980: Bob McBride is on the fourth night of a six night run at Alastair’s in Toronto.

1980: Rendezvous begins a three night run in Toronto at Spats.

1980: Streetheart release their DRUGSTORE DANCER album.

1980: The Start open for Prism in Toronto at The Music Hall.

1982: Crackers are in Kitchener for a show at the Coronet Motor Hotel.

1982: Chilliwack is on Solid Gold, where they lip-sync “Watcha Gonna Do?”

1988: Killer Dwarfs are in the UK with Iron Maiden, for the second of a two-night stand at London’s Wembley Arena.

1989: Neil Young does a one-off acoustic show at the Hammersmith Odeon.

1993: “Please Forgive Me” by Bryan Adams is atop Canada’s RPM singles chart for the second of a six-week run.

1995: “Hand In My Pocket” by Alanis Morissette is atop Canada’s RPM singles chart for the second of a four-week run.

1995: Hemingway Corner see “Watch Over You” peak on Canada’s AC chart at #7.

1997: Rik Emmett releases his SWING SHIFT album.

2000: Goddo is on TV on the Mike Bullard Show.

2005: Helix‘s Brian Vollmer releases his autobiography, “Gimme an R.”

2010: Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush are in Cleveland, Ohio for the second of a two-night stand at the Agora. The shows are released on DVD a few years later.

2011: Canadian Defence Minister Peter MacKay appoints

eorge Canyon to the position of Colonel Commandant of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets. It’s completely ceremonial, and there’s no risk whatsoever to the nation’s security.

2014: Trews are in Toronto for a show at Massey Hall.

2015: Dirty Habits release their new single, “Knife In Your Back.”

2016:Brett Wade and Glenda Rae release the holiday duet, “It’s Christmas Time.”

2017: Neil Young auctions off his 230 piece toy train collection, raising $300,000. He also sells his ’53 Buick Roadmaster for $400,000 for charity.

2019: Aarond Goodvin’s single, “You Are” is certified gold.
