1957: Doug Johnson, keyboardist for

Loverboy is born in New Westminster, BC.

1960: Hank Snow peaks on Billboard’s country chart at #87 with “Rockin’ Rollin’ Ocean.”

1966: The Esquires release their new single, “Multitude of Sins.” It debuts on the Canadian pop chart at #85.

1966: Paul Anka debuts on the Canadian top 100 at #97 with “Poor Old World.”

1966: Jackie Shane debuts on the Canadian pop chart for the first time with “Any Other Way,” settling in at #99.

1970: “Be My Baby” by Andy Kim peaks at #17 on the Billboard singles chart.

1970: Gainsborough Gallery releases the single, “Life Is A Song.”

1975: Chilliwack release their ROCKERBOX album in the US, with a different cover.

1980: Downchild Blues Band is in Toronto for the first of a two night stand at El Mocambo.

1981: Chilliwack peaks at #78 on Billboard’s albums chart with WANNA BE A STAR. They also show up on TV that day on American Bandstand, performing “My Girl” and “I Believe.”

1981: Loverboy is on Solid Gold, lip-synching “Working For The Weekend.”

1981: Saga is in Dortmund, Germany for a show at Westfalenhalle. The show is taped and broadcast on German TV.

1983: Craig Ruhnke releases his TRUE LOVE album.

1986: Northern Pikes sign a record deal with Virgin Records.

1998: Terri Clark peaks at #40 on Billboard’s country chart with “You’re Easy On The Eyes.”

2006: Just in time for Christmas, Rhino Entertainment releases the five track Killjoys EP, HI-FIVE.

2008: A tribute show for Kenny MacLean, deceased member of Deserters and Platinum Blonde at The Mod Club in Toronto. On the bill, among others, is Alan Frew, rock soprano Patrizzia and Platinum Blonde.

2009: Nelly Furtado peaks on Billboard’s singles chart at #61 with “Morning After Dark.”

2009: Angels To Ashes open for local group State of Shock at The Cooler in Lloydminster, AB.

2014: Teaze‘s Mark Pawnman Bradac releases the song and video, “Thinking About Good Times.”

2015: Punch Drunk Cabaret is in Pincher Creek, Alberta for a show at the Castle Mountain Resort.

2016: Sarah McLachlan, Johnny Reid, Holly Cole, and Jordan Smith are in Toronto for a show at Massey Hall they’ve dubbed Together For The Holidays.

2018: Krazy Madness release their new single, “Daytime Moonlight.”

2019: Platium release the lead single and video, “Bottle,” from their upcoming album, MOMMY.
