1962: Ray Coburn, keyboardist for Honeymoon Suite is born in Niagara Falls.

1965: Little Caesar and The Consuls top Canada’s singles chart with “You Really Got A Hold On Me.”

1965: Wes Dakus‘ new single, “Hoochie Coochie Coo” enters the Canadian pop chart at #38.

1973: Patsy Gallant releases the single, “Tout Va Trop Vite.”

1974: Rush open for KISS for the first time. The show is in Michigan Palace in Detroit.

1975: Mahogany Rush is in Montreal for a show at the Forum.

1978: Gilles Valiquette releases his VOL DE NUIT album.

1980: Downchild Blues Band closes out a two night stand at El Mocambo in Toronto.

1980: The Kings are in Vancouver for a show at Pacific Colieseum with Angel City.

1982: Hometown rockers Glider are in Kitchener for a show at the Coronet Motor Hotel, the first of a four-night run.

1987: Alta Moda release their self-titled debut album.

1995: Burton Cummings plays an intimate one-man show at Toronto’s Glenn Gould Theatre, the first of two shows at the venue. The show becomes part of the UP CLOSE AND ALONE lp.

1999: Hank Snow dies of natural causes at the age of 85 in his Madison, Tennessee home.

2000: Nickelback release the single, “Worthy To Say.”

2000: Our Lady Peace releases their new single, “Life.”

2003: It’s week nine for Ryan Malcolm and “Something More” atop the Canadian pop chart.

2008: Alexisonfire is in Hamilton for a concert at Copps Coliseum.

2014: Jacksoul‘s GREATEST HITS album is released just in time for Christmas. On it are three new songs.

2014: The deluxe edtion of Thor‘s ONLY THE STRONG album from 1985 is released on CD, remastered with a few previously unreleased tracks.

2016: Formerly with Tupelo Honey, Dan Davidson has gone country and releases the single, “Barn Burner,” co-written by Clayton Bellamy.

2018: Mindstorm release their first new material in six years. The other five tracks on PASSAGES OF TIME are select cuts from their first four albums.

2018: Jimi Bertucci releases his new single and vieo for the soon to be yuletide classic, “Peace On Earth.”

2019: Matt Blais is in Calgary for a show at Mikey’s.
