1960: Paul Anka releases "It's Time To Cry."

1967: The Shondels enter the Canadian pop chart for the first time, with "I Take It Back," which debuts at #100.

1967: Jaybees peak on the Canadian top 100 with "I Think of Her," which reaches #55.

1967: "Whistling On The River" by The Mercey Brothers is on top of the Canadian country charts for the last of a six-week run.

1967: Les Sultans peak on the Canadian pop chart at #67 with "La Pouppe Qui Fait Non."

1970: The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) announced the implementation of the Canadian Content (CanCon) regulations.

1973: Thor plays his first live show ever, at the New Westminster, BC High School.

1974: The Band play at The Boston Garden for the first time.

1980: Rush released their album "Permanent Waves". The album was a major success, and is considered one of the most influential progressive rock albums of all time.

1984: Gordon Lightfoot is on Solid Gold, doing "If You Could Read My Mind" with Marilyn McCoo.

1985: Platinum Blonde peak on the Canadian chart at #12 with "Not In Love."

1985: "All We Are" by Kim Mitchell peaks at #21 on the Canadian chart.

1986: Hank Snow refuses to perform on the CBS television tribute to the Grand Ole Opry when he's told he can only sing one verse of a song.

1995: Neil Young is among the musical guests during a Voters for Choice rally and benefit in Washington, DC.

1995: Arrogant Worms release the album, LIVE BAIT.

2006: It's the second night of a two night stand for Blue Rodeo in Stratford, Ontario at the Festival Theatre. The shows are taped and become the LIVE IN STRATFORD album.

2011: Kim Wempe opens for Rawlins Cross at the Imperial Theatre in St John, NB.

2011: Singer-songwriter Feist released her album "Metals". The album was a critical and commercial success, and featured the hit single "How Come You Never Go There"

2014: Justin Bieber was questioned by police over the egging of his neighbour's house in Calabasas, California.

2016: Holly Woods is in Toronto for a show at The 40.

2010: The Canadian crime drama, "High Times" hits the big screen, and features a soundtrack that includes Pagliaro, April Wine, and Max Webster.

2011: Mood Jga Jga reunites for the Bill Merritt beneift show at the Winnipeg Convention Centre.

2012: Platinum Blonde are in Calgary at the Deerfoot Casino.

2017: Dahlia Wakefield & The Value Villains end a two-night stand at Casino Dene, outside Cold Lake, Alberta.

2017: The Frank is in Blackfalds, Alberta for a show at The BMI.

2017: Evereal releases their self-titled debut album.

2018: Walk Off the Earth perform during half-time show in New Orleans as the Saints are hosting the Vikings in the playoffs.
